ABOUT THE TEAM

 

T. Michael Burke is the managing partner of Burke and Associates. He started the firm almost twenty years ago and has grown the business into a well established boutique firm specializing in finance, information technology, general management and human resources. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mike worked for Nabisco Brands, Greyhound and the Olsten corporations in various  regional management roles throughout the U.S.  Mike first joined the executive recruiting industry with the Cornell Group/Career Directions in 1986 as a Partner and created Burke & Associates in 1990. Since this point, Burke has concentrated the firm's searches in the consumer products, pharma/biotech and manufacturing industries.

 

Mike is currently an executive board memeber and former president of the Stamford YMCA, served for ten years  as a board adviser to the Chemistry Department of Sacred Heart University and continues to be involved in regional non-profit organizations.  He is  a graduate of Boston University where he also attended graduate school. Mike is active in the executive search and personnel industries  and is also a certified personnel consultant.

 

Anne Burke brings to Burke and Associates a broad background in sales, recruiting, consulting and marketing. In her new capacity, she is responsible for the tri-state area market and integrating our full scope of services.  She will also assume full responsibility of the Human Resource discipline for the firm.  

Prior to joining Burke and Associates, Anne was with Lee Hecht Harrison, a global career management firm, for fourteen years.  Her experience managing corporate relationships varies from Fortune 100 companies with national and global implications as well local entrepreneurial and privately held organizations.  Anne held various roles while at LHH such as, Job Market Consultant, Career Consultant/Coach and Vice President Business Development. Additionally, she has twelve years recruiting experience with firms in San Francisco and New York City.

Anne has her BS in Business and Career Education from Boston University.  She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), The Business Council of Westchester, is a board member of the Mickey Lione Jr. Fund and the board of the Childhood Learning Center as well as being actively involved in the greater the Stamford community.
 

 

 Michael S. Burke is a Consultant for Burke and Associates specializing in accounting and finance positions. Michael began working with Burke and Associates in September of 2005 and was responsible for contract personnel through our affiliate marketing program. In 2006, Michael transitioned to filling full-time, permanent roles through Burke and Associates on both the local and national level. Michael is a graduate of Sacred Heart University, and holds a B.S. degree in Business Management.

 

Al Brand is a Senior Consultant for Burke and Associates. During 2007, Al has exclusively been recruiting as a member of the Burke and Associates team. For twenty-five years, Al recruited accounting and finance staff while holding various middle management accounting and finance positions at international Fortune 500 and mid-cap corporations. Having worked both divisional and corporate levels plus holing a B.S. in Accounting gives Al the insight needed to present qualified candidates to our clients. In addition, Al is also responsible for our national affiliation program through I.P.A.

 

Katherine Mazzarese is Director of Client Services for Burke & Associates Executive Search Division, focusing on both retained and contingent search and other executive placement. Katherine is new to Burke & Associates, having joined the firm in 2007. Prior to joining Burke & Associates, she spent 6 years in Business Development with Fairfield Investment Corporation.  Her industry experience includes healthcare, consumer products, marketing, and hospitality. She holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Fairfield University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Diego State University.  Katherine is an active member of SHRM, SIOP, and is a lifetime member of Psi Chi.

 

Kenneth M. Perec is Director of Information Technology for Burke and Associates. Ken is a search consultant with 15 years of experience recruiting mid to senior level professionals, on a permanent and contract basis for key roles in Information Technology, Pharmaceutical, Bio-Tech, Finance and Human Resources.  His client base is national in scope and covers most of the major industries. Ken graduated from Fairfield University in Connecticut and has his degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He is also a member of several organizations related to his field of expertise.
